I like big heads

… and I cannot lie!

Custom molded heads are cool. Series like the Looney Toons were awesome! But today I have something different.

Set 76393 (Harry Potter and Hermoine Granger) introduced us to what I like to call Mega Figs. Similar pose-ability to a normal fig, turnable heads & hands and all that good stuff. Just on a much larger scale.

Then came along Grawp in Set 75967 (Forbidden Forest: Umbridge’s Encounter) and is about 3 times taller than a normal fig.

Here’s the thing though, the faces are a single printed part. That allows me to do something like this entry, and for no particular reason, compare the sizes of the printed face parts!

So, on with the examples. First off we have the Harry, Hermoine and Grawp faces.

Next we have the comparison of a normal fig head to truly show a understood size measurement. Enter decapitated Spider-man

The pig was pitching a fit and wanted to be in a shot, so, um, here is a size example of decapitated Spider-man’s head on a pig vs the other three heads. I know, your life is now complete.

Found it interesting that they used a double sloped 4×6 piece to make the Mega Fig faces, but Grawp only gets a 2x4x2 half cylinder. This does allow one to recreate the movie Face/Off with the Mega Figs though.

Finally a decent comparison shot! Thankfully Marvin has recovered from that unfortunate Bruni incident and can serve as a reference point. Ugh, and a pig. (A drama pig!)

Anyone ever wonder what Fred and Barney’s kid would look like? Cause Wilma, Betty and me have some questions now…
